Our services

We engage in many different activities in order to improve virtual conferencing and advocate for a biennial model of alternating between in-person and virtual conferences each year.

Improving virtual conferences

We work with a variety of stakeholders to create better virtual conferences

Advocating for more virtual

We take take a systems approach, helping leaders change their practices and policies

Improving virtual conferences

  • Work with decision-makers

We bring together conference stakeholders—association leaders, conference organizers, exhibitors and vendors, researchers, and funders—to discuss, test, and synthesize best practices for designing inclusive virtual conferences. Grant funding supports this work.

  • Study new approaches

We join researchers in studying and improving virtual conferences. Rigorous and informal experiments explore and verify best practices. Research grants fund these investigations.

  • Design conferences

We partner with associations to design engaging virtual conferences. Focused on networking experiences, we make virtual conferences socially engaging and comfortable. Powered by grants and donations, we use a sliding scale fee structure to help any organization, large or small.

  • Consult and chat

We are happy to consult with you for an hour on anything related to virtual conferencing—sharing general ideas, offering specific designs for your event, or solving a particular problem. We ask for a suggested donation of $20.

Advocating for more virtual conferencing

  • Advise funders

We work with funders to craft new travel policies that support attendance at virtual conferences. Funders have great leverage to incentivize virtual conferencing.

  • Illuminate the benefits

We highlight strategies and examples in order to show stakeholders the benefits of virtual conferencing. We invite anyone to share ideas and practices to further the cause.

  • Plan for long-term change

We work with clients to create long-term strategic plans, because shifting to a biennial model doesn’t happen overnight. We’ll help you work with your board, your membership, and other stakeholders to bring them along.

Supported by donors and foundations

We’re a lean organization that keeps our costs low by leveraging collaborations.

Donations and grants allow us to work with clients on a sliding fee scale, all the way down to zero.
